Curriculum

At our preschool, we believe that children learn best through play-based, hands-on experiences that nurture curiosity, creativity, and foundational skills. Our curriculum is designed to support the whole child—cognitively, socially, emotionally, and physically—through developmentally appropriate practices aligned with early learning standards.

Our Classes

We School (Age 2 with guardian)
We-School is a one-hour, once-a-week class designed for two-year-olds to experience their first taste of school alongside a parent or guardian. Led by our Preschool Director, Mrs. Elise Coakley, children enjoy free play, circle and music time, hands-on centers, and a snack in a warm and welcoming environment. With a small class size, We-School provides a gentle introduction to learning while helping children feel comfortable in a classroom setting and begin socializing with peers.

Three-Year-Old Class

Children must be 3 years old by September 10 of the school year. Must be fully potty trained before the first day of school. Children must wear cloth underwear (no pull-ups).
Our three-year-old program helps children take their first steps toward independence in a school setting. Meeting two or three mornings per week, the class introduces early literacy, math, and social skills through circle time, centers, story time, and creative play. Small groups allow teachers to focus on milestones such as sharing, listening, and self-help routines. Children also enjoy arts and crafts, outdoor playground time, and weekly Chapel in the Sanctuary with the pastor. The class has a maximum of 15 students with both a lead teacher and an assistant teacher, ensuring each child receives the care and attention they need.

In addition to literacy and math foundations, children build problem-solving skills and strengthen friendships through hands-on centers, small group instruction, and creative projects. Arts and crafts, stories, and outdoor play enrich their development. Each week, students attend Chapel in the Sanctuary with the pastor, where they experience God’s love through songs and Bible stories. With a maximum of 15 students, supported by a lead teacher and assistant teacher, children thrive in a setting that balances structure with joyful exploration.

Meeting five days per week in either a morning or afternoon session, the program follows Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards with a focus on literacy, math, science, and social development.
